KewBeachouse is located on the shores of Lake Ontario. Due to its proximity to the lake the project required the expert knowledge of Geo-Technical Engineers. They recommended the use of helical piles as part of the structure. Once excavation was complete, surveyors came on to site to accurately locate each pile position. Special piling contractors were brought on site to install these piles using custom made machinery.
TECHNO METAL POST has installed 46 helical piles to support the house as well as the garage. These are screwed in to the ground using specialized equipment to depths of approximately 55ft. This process took 5 days.
The top of each pile is cut off at the correct height and a steel plate is welded on top.
At the end of WEEK 2 the site is now ready to begin the foundations.
